Il primo giorno di scuola
Per gli studenti e gli insegnanti il calendario scolastico rappresenta, all’interno del calendario annuale, una diversa e a tratti più vera sezione del tempo. La fine e l'inizio dell’anno avvengono in giugno e settembre. Tutto si gioca intorno a due date fondamentali che segnano l’inizio e la fine delle lezioni. Il primo giorno di scuola è un momento significativo in cui sia docenti che studenti devono ricominciare ad entrare in contatto, dopo una lunga pausa estiva, condividendo spazi e rapporti umani. I giovani dovranno ricominciare a sedersi dietro i banchi e a sottomettersi a regole di disciplina che la comunità impone. Vi è il rinnovamento di attese positive per un nuovo anno che sta per arrivare e in cui sarà possibile scrivere importanti passi e investire per la propria preparazione ed il futuro. Al contempo riemergono, in questo giorno, importanti contraddizioni su cui la scuola è costruita che possono rovesciare improvvisamente le attese e trasformare l’esperienza all’interno di questi spazi in qualcosa di vuoto e angosciante. La struttura diventa al contempo pozzo d’oro di possibilità e luogo di speranza disincantata. “Il primo giorno di scuola” è un progetto fotografico in fase di sviluppo che prende ispirazione dagli scritti di Andrea Zanzotto e agli Haiku del poeta zen Ryokan e si incentra sopratutto sullo studio di spazio/paesaggio in relazione al tempo. L’intenzione è quella di generare immagini anonime che siano al contempo definite e indefinite nella speranza che nell’alternanza di queste due componenti si generi il cortocircuito che smuova un’emozione. For students and teachers, the school calendar represents, within the annual calendar, a different and at times more real section of time. The beginning and end of the year occur in September and June. Everything is played around two fundamental dates that mark the beginning and end of lessons. The first day of school is a significant moment in which both teachers and students must begin to come into contact again, after a long summer break, sharing spaces and human relationships. Young people will have to start sitting behind desks again and submit to the rules of discipline that the community imposes. There is the renewal of positive expectations for a new year that is about to arrive and in which it will be possible to write important steps and invest for one's preparation and the future. At the same time, on this day, important contradictions on which the school is built re-emerge which can suddenly overturn expectations and transform the experience within these spaces into something empty and distressing. The structure becomes at the same time a gold well of possibilities and a place of disenchanted hope. “The first day of school” is a photographic project in development that takes inspiration from the writings of Andrea Zanzotto and the Haiku of the Zen poet Ryokan and focuses above all on the study of space/landscape in relation to time. The intention is to generate anonymous images that are both defined and undefined at the same time in the hope that the alternation of these two components generates a temporal short circuit that moves an emotion.
